you do realize that microsoft has said the 360 will be around at least a day longer than the ps3 right?
Also, there are other ways for xbox to drive more sales other than price cuts, they can also revamp the hardware (like include wireless adapter and hardrive in the arcade).
If you think about it, the 360 has just as much potential of sticking around as the ps3 does, and if Sony cuts their price, 360 will do something to counter it.
Honestly, the 360 has too much of a cushion for Sony to be able to overcome, especially in America. Sony failing big time in America, which is the territory with the most consoles sold this gen.
