A possible reason why third parties prefer non Nintendo consoles

4 games over 10 million??? thats really not as many as i expected.

I mean come on! they sold over 120 million PS2's

 

my household has bought 4 ps2s...I'm sure we aren't unique.

 

 

bought 2 PS2s... only console I bought 2x of (besides DS but that was for making gifts =)

 

PS2 userbase is probably at 80M or so... (maybe lower but not higher).

Basically do GT3 + 1/2 GT4 and you have a 25% attach ratio for the series on 80M... that sounds about correct, so I keep my estimation of 80M.
