Stop hyping Mass Effect 2!!!

Lost Odyssey is a JRPG...not an RPG. Mass Effect is an actual RPG.

Japanese RPGs are a subset of RPGs, they are all Role Playing Games, but of course there is a very wide range of RPGs that are pretty much incomparible

 

 

Yes...an unorthodox subset, which takes the power out of the players hand and puts it completely into the hands of the story. In RPG's you create the story, which is what Mass Effect allows. You have consequences. In JPRG's you're playing a storyboard with a relatively close battle system to WPRG's which are the rule. The battle system is about the only similarity to what an RPG is.
