What was so sad about Lost Odyssey? I guess I missed that part.

*If it was the ending do not spoil it. I have yet to complete the game.*

Lirum's death was the saddest part for me.  As for the ending I thought it was mostly upbeat.

Lirum's death was what I thought some of the posters were referring to but I didn't find it sad at all because I had little to no connection to the character and Kaim up that point seemed to be lacking a lot of emotion. Could be maybe because I didn't read all of the dream sequences.

For me it was like "BAM! Here is his wife. BAM! She is now dying and Kaim remembers. BAM! Let's become emotional all of a sudden."

Then the kids start singing.

I was like "Huh?"

I didn't feel too sad for Lirum and Kaim, but more so for Cooke and Mack. You spent all this time rescueing them, and it's terrible that children have their mother die right in front of them. Especially being that their only goal was to save her.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
