What was so sad about Lost Odyssey? I guess I missed that part.

*If it was the ending do not spoil it. I have yet to complete the game.*

Lirum's death was the saddest part for me.  As for the ending I thought it was mostly upbeat.

Lirum's death was what I thought some of the posters were referring to but I didn't find it sad at all because I had little to no connection to the character and Kaim up that point seemed to be lacking a lot of emotion. Could be maybe because I didn't read all of the dream sequences.

For me it was like "BAM! Here is his wife. BAM! She is now dying and Kaim remembers. BAM! Let's become emotional all of a sudden."

Then the kids start singing.

I was like "Huh?"

That is EXACTLY how I felt, 100%. I even started laughing a bit at how ridiculous it was.

It was pretty bad. It felt like it was just thrown in there so Kaim actually seems to be more than just an emotionless stiff.

I don't want to turn this into a "What I dislike about LO" thread so i'll leave it at that.

Criticism gets much worse if we talk about Tales of Vesperia's ending however. Talk about a big let down after hours of awesomeness.
