I haven't started yet. I have to get the area around the computer cleaned up so that I have room for both systems.
But just from playing and looking at the details, RE4 isn't that much ahead. I have to take pictures to confirm, but it looks as though texture resolution is the same. Heck, RE4 has some areas where backgrounds where texture resolution is really low, and I've seen maybe a rug or two in CTYD that has lower texture resolution.
Polygon count is definitely lower, but DR on the 360 has a really low polygon count compared to games like Gears, Dead Space, and RE5. Shading and mapping is also reduced, but again, so was the original version.
And from the FMVs, which used the 360 graphics, it looks as though the 360 version's texture resolution wasn't really that high either. But I need to get my hands on my brother's 360 again to be sure.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
