etc.

Yeah...hardly. Not all are big games but that doesn't matter. The top 10 is filled with old games. New announcements have made much difference. And if you look at the top 10 for the HD consoles it's mainly sports and shooters and music games which isn't even all that better compared to the Wii's top 10. Instead of taking the top 10, take the total number of third party SW for each consoles. And then again the Wii would probably appear pretty impressive considering the lack of big third party titles released on it.

Man, you have gone on the Monster Hunter badwagon. I need to go back and read what you thought of this game before.

Anyway,  The problem is not the fact the wii is not selling 3rd party software, it's the fact that it's getting such reputation, and it keeps spreading aroung as the truth. The Wii got plenty of big names games, it's just that there more popular among the HD audience.

This Gen is pretty balanced, unless you have at least one HD AND the wii, you wont get the full experience like the PS2 gave us.

I agree with your idea. The appearance of poor 3rd party sales is cultivated in part by a general lack of media hype, and the fact that those 3rd party sales rarely crack the NPD Top 10 for any given month. If these sales aren't being publicized, nobody knows they're there, and the average core gamer continues to live under that impression

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
