I blame the interwebz. It has allowed the minority to become more vocal, so those that do not acknowledge evolution can be very persistant. If you get what I mean. Here's an example I found the other day.

In real society, the things they say here aren't believed by even the most hardcore Christians. I mean I know of nobody who insist evolution can't occur because the earth is 6000 years old. But there it is, some random guy claiming just that. Before his views wouldn't have reached anyone.
