A quality sound system is an investment that you continue to use for 30+ years. A quality speaker will sound good for decades before it finally fails, so I have no problem investing in a system that costs $3k. In reality, the speakers I bought were on closeout because the company was moving on to the next model so I picked mine up for over $1k off normal retail with the full manufacturer guarantee and everything. Oh, and what I bought is considered medium range quality. If you move to higher quality you can spend over $1.2k per main speaker, and over 2k for a sub-woofer. |
This. If you buy quality speakers, they will do for a looong time. $3k isn't that much but it is a good start. :)
