You accuse me of spinning? Theres as much speculation coming from you as from me if we hold it to a strict standard.
Cheaper is not always the most important point, for example the last best information on the SKU split for the Xbox 360 was from pachter and average price of the Xbox 360 as stated by him was $290 in the United States. Its a complicated issue and there are multiple factors which work for and against consoles. If both consoles came with DVD and no wireless out of the box then there would be far more merit to the simple statements about one being cheaper than the other.
@Pinab: Thats the overall market share as it stands right now per region? Then perhaps the market conditions world wide have changed so therefore we could expect those numbers to change right? Anyway a more accurate number would be the 6 monthly or yearly market share per region I think anyway.
@PapflesJe: The difference between the United States and Japan is that stating the PS3 could lead the Xbox 360 there is a reasonable statement to make, and it has done so in the past on a monthly or weekly basis. The Xbox 360 on the other hand could never find acceptence in the Japanese market so that will always be Sonys strong point over Microsoft no matter what happens. So for someone to compare the world wide performance of the two without understanding that point, they would be decieving themselves.
