Really, this is the best way to get a fully functional 360, with the newest chipset. If you know how to use ebay, you know how to get quality used merchandise, and you know how to file a claim if you get ripped. Just run a wire.
Basically, you can get the best 360 possible with a reasonable hard-drive for 230 dollars, after tax, shipped.
After that, you have a 3 year warranty. If your 360 rrod's on you, you send it in, they send you a new one. Takes about a week.
The 360 only scratches your disc if you move it during play. This isn't a problem with the 360. ALL floating disc enclosures share it. The phat PS2 had the same "problem." Just don't move the console unless it is turned off.
