So in essence they've found something that might lead one to believe that there is a genetic reason behind being gay, but noone has proven it with gene studies directly, which is what you statement implied or flat out said depending on how you look at it.

This could lead one to believe that being gay is genetic, but to prove that you would have to do a study of the brains of children as they grow and see when this difference manafests itself and why.
