| papflesje said: My opinion on this matter is not of importance. I'm quite sure there are people out there who willingly paid for everything in the PS3 - even at 600 euros - because 1) they actually wanted all those additions 2) they didn't mind paying for it, because they might use it one day 3) considered it a reasonable price, despite not needing some of the additions. However, I have the right to call BS, as does every person who is not completely in the tank for Sony. Come down from your cloud. Just because someone might actually feel that the price merits everything in the console, doesn't automatically make them "in the tank for Sony". They might have the opinion that it's true for them, simple as that. Everyone has the right to call BS, but the difference with you is that you state your opinion as fact and immediately place people who disagree in some sort of small cage with a sign on it. Stop being such an elitist. As if people drinking Cool-Aid automatically should have their opinions discarded. I might not agree with them, but they are entitled to their opinion. You feel the need to stigmatize people even before they have uttered something, to make sure that they have some sort of label on them if they choose to say something different than what you said. You have done this repeatedly in the past, even admitted to it and kept quiet for a while (or I just didn't bump into your posts, same difference). Apparently you just couldn't resist. |
Ah, I see. Well, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on this subject. You've seen fit to make this discussion about me and my older posts, rather than my views in this thread, and you even refuse to discuss your views with me, on the topic presented by the OP, so I suppose this is the end of our conversation.
Hopefully, we can pick it up later.
I think that in this instance, our basic disagreement is this:
I believe that anyone who presents a 399.99 dollars PS3 as a "bargin" is spinning the issue.
I don't know what you believe.
Agree to disagree, sir, and I'm not trying to flame anyone, I just gave my opinion on this matter, and I stand by it. While it might not be PC on a gaming forum, to claim that people who sell taglines are spinning the truth, I'm a realist, always have been, and when I believe I see someone trying to turn spin into a generally accepted opinion, I might call it like I see it. I have a perfect right to my opinion, as do you. Forgive my "elitism," for pointing out what, admittedly, most people would dub obvious. In this instance, I presented my argument in a well thought out manner, that directly related to the OP. My purpose wasn't to insult anyone, and I think you might be reading a bit too deeply into my comments.
Everone uses generalizations from time to time. No-one means them. They are a figure of speech. Of course I don't believe "everyone" is in the tank for Sony, or even most people, but I believe some are. Forgive me for being unclear, and forgive my generalization, but don't miss my point. It's on the money more often than not.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
