8m by end of '07 was always on the cards - total WW sales that is - not sales from March '07 onwards.
But that still leaves them 7m units to sell (to retailers) in Q1 '08 to reach their fiscal predictions. Check their reports - they forecast 11m sold/shipped in fiscal year '07-'08 - meaning around 14.5-15m sold/shipped by March '08.
That's basically insane. 2m/month AFTER Xmas?
I say again - they will miss their forecast by at least 2m - and probably closer to 4m. And that's taking into account all the price cuts & software releases in Q1 '08.
