@Nightsurge Competition: PS3 is still competing close and no where near failure. All competitors posted losses for current fiscal year. Yeah, but Sony posted $1+ Billion, MS posted just 31 million in the E&D but as a company were still positive and profited, and as far as I know Nintendo profited as well. (In this response, u try to project losses for Sony apart from games divison. It's not fair. Sony sold 10.06 million PlayStation 3 machines for the fiscal year through March, up 10 percent from the previous year and are expecting to sell 13-15 mn consoles by April 2010. Sony already have begun massive restructuring to save billions thru Electronics division after posting first huge loss in 14 years.) Now Prices: it's still selling close to 360's at double it's price. Now that's an imminent threat to 360. Selling 30+ thousand less per week at roughly $110 (average sale price of 360 is $290) more is no where near a threat and is actually quite normal. If it were within 15 thousand that would be a threat. $110 more is not double the price, either... Sorry to burst your bubble. (In this respone, u state ps3 at 400 $ is selling 30K less weekly, Isn't it? Don't u see that most of the weekly sales for PS3 are very close with America as exception. Due to the legacy of the PS brand and poor reputation about the reliability of 360, the first three quarters are always in favour of PS3(2007,2008 and even 2009). Q4 periods see less brand concious and more price-value concious consumers buying Arcade 360's and Wiis. It seems the price wasn't exactly double with ur average 360 sale price of 290$. It should be an average high sale price for Q1-Q3 phase, taken into account all the PRO/Elites. The below link is a bit too much to conceive in one look...well it's a H/W comparison chart for both consoles from March 2007 upto recent. U can check the monthwise for urself. It's party time for 360 during this holiday too, if ps3 price-cut doesn't turn up and once it's a reality, 2010 lead for PS3 wud be unassailable and permanent.) Technology: Can MGS4 ever come on 360? The Answer to the question defines this factor. Now I don't need to mention about RSX, Cell thing , the BR stuff and format war.. which means PS3 still has got the potential to carry the console way ahead into future. Ok, um... Yes MGS4 "could" come on 360 if Konami wanted. All it takes is a different programming approach and some actual compression of data. As to the RSX, it's worse than the 360's GPU and came out a year later.... that's just aweful. The Cell is only slightly better than the 360's CPU when the entire system and bottlenecks are taken account of. What BR stuff and the format war? The format war is over, but the 360 never was involved. It uses DVD's for games, not HD-DVD. The Add-on was just an attempt to slow Blu-Ray's progress and hurt it from getting a solid grip on the market. (In this response, it appears that u desire for MGS4 coming on 360. An absence of Blue-Ray Drive and Hideo Kojima's strict denial are to be blamed. The main problem here is that DVD still being used for games which will limit data or future Game content. Fanboys have been bragging about different programming approaches thru ages in all forums but in vain. 360 just lacks the technology it needs to deliver such games. And try to convince me that RSX is a worser GPU by not merely stating.) So in America this principle can't be defied, once 3rd party developers harness the Cell's potential to produce something unique matching high terms of quality..the S/W nos will increase at rapid pace from current 6% decline. H/W sales will slowly rise with current price too. 360 will adhere to bundle schemes to occupy depleting retail space to increase the gap margin. By taking Japan as the perfect example in contrast to as what is in America it will be discontinued their first. And as i mentioned earlier the ps3 price-cut is very much eagerly awaited. It shud occur when Sony keeps managing to slowly increase the sales rate equally across all regions. At that point they can take the retail space by storm with more consumers confident on buying one when price cut of 100$ is announced. I don't even know where to begin. This was all complete speculation and BS. Sony can't afford a price cut. They've said a milllion times they are focusing on profitability. A price cut can be eagerly awaited all it wants but that won't make it come. Also, if they do risk a price cut, it will more than likely be just $50 and if that has any affect at all, MS will drop the price and take back any and all momentum. Since when does a lower price increase consumer confidence? Oh and the whole "developers harness the Cell's potential" crap? The PS3 is on it's 3rd year. Developers have had ages to use the Cell and this is what we have so far. Killzone 2 was Sony's best attempt so far in using the Cell and even in that lies some tricks as to why it "appears" to look so good. The truth is harnessing the Cell won't make games "better" or more enjoyable. That depends on the content, not the power used. (To this response, as I know where to begin, Sony although can't afford a price-cut, they will risk one eventually on Q4 by 100$ and MS on the other hand by 50$. MS can't hurt themselves further by doing another 100$, It cud signal an early exit for the console. So the consumer confidence is boosted with lower priced better H/W. If the PS3 Cell is bound to work tricks, why not 360 Xenon do somethin similar. KillZone 2 is a successor to MGS4, and unlike halo 3 or Gears 2 it's referred to as the revamped version of the lacklustre Killzone 1 FPS, which lured many non fans owing to its splendid gfx. Besides future games shall have content to benifit from. So there was no speculation or BS .) So it's pretty tough days ahead for 360, a counter action can be in the form of bundle schemes or even xbox next...but not until they had drained out the unlikely maximum "profit" out just as they put it. By that time MS wud've dropped the idea of a new console. Actually, it's pretty bright days ahead for the 360 considering everything you've just said I've made undeniable arguments against. It's actually looking much rougher for the PS3 these days ahead. The counter actions will be price drops, bundles, whatever. It will not be the next Xbox until at least 2012. I don't know where you are getting this "as they put it" quote, but MS is much more likely than Sony to develop a new console at this point. ( So let there be bright days ahead for 360 when they further cut their price. I fear it might be even as close as giving away consoles for free. And rougher days for PS3 in the sense that their console isn't free. Microsoft doesn't post all the hideous losses they have. They are the undisputed S/W giant with assets and presume to be profitable in all ventures. Yeah, MS is much more likely than Sony to discontinue and develop a new console at a much earlier point...) Well I do love getting pawned back by someone who thinks that the market strategy and ethics run perfectly in one's mind while others are fools and don't understand nothing. Dood we can continue this debate as long as u wish.

A few grammatic and punctuation errors were corrected in my previous post quoted above for NightSurge, to whom my comments appear so jibberish. I hope he can read carefully and understand from now on.
