Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell were both made by Ubisoft and share very similar gameplay styles. And Splinter Cell rocks!!!

 

 A. Originally, Double Agent was an exclusive to the 360. It wasn't ported to the ps3 for almost a year.

B. It doesn't matter that they are both made by the same company and that they share a genre. What makes you think fans of AC will move onto SC because they are made by the same company? One is an open world medieval stealth title and the other is modern with the use of technology. Completely different. 

C. Gears of War was also released with an install base that small and looked at how many sales it got.

D. I think this is more of you thinking Splinter Cell rocks then it is the majority of consumers thinking Splinter Cell rocks. The fact is the series changed it's roots with the last outing and has lost a number of it's fan base by doing so.
