I saw it even with gamecube too... the games are cheaper, the systems cheaper.... so the kids get a videogame system because they couldn't afford one previously.  I've seen people use the DS in this regard too.

 

Heh. All kids should have a big brother 10 years older than them and with an excess of disposible income. My little brothers are so damn spoiled. I've bought them all three consoles (plus both portables) and about 70 games between the three current-gen systems. :)

 

Back in my day, all I had was a Sega Genesis and like, 5 games. Sonic 2 and Mutant League Football are my childhood. Hehe.
