That's a huge drop, is there a Wii shortage in US?

 

Last year the Wii got MK Wii and Wii Fit and Brawl was released just March.

 

When has games RELEASES ever mattered in the sales of the Wii in NA?

 

Obviously the typically high Wii sales is due to game's legs. New releases will boost consoles, this is nothing new. Wii didn't stay flat when new games released. Don't understand why you posted this.

 

Although now different, whatever shipment Nintendo had were sold anyway due to high demands, not games.

The reason for such high demand is because the Wii has games that people want to play - it's not like people can watch Blu-Ray movies with a Wii... the only thing you really can do is play games. The point you're try'na make will always come back full circle to games.
