As you can see, for first several months of 2009 Sony is having a stable difference between shipped numbers of PS3 and x360 on a 7+ mln. units, despite recession, price differences and manufacture costs. =)

p.s. Also, BIG chance, that VGC undertracked PS3 sales. In that case, real sales difference between PS3 and x360 also are only around 7 mln., and that is a good result for PS3, which is still the most expensive console on the market.)
