A slim redesigned PS3 is inevitable but this seems a bit to early to be bringing out a slimline version - If this was 2 years in the futures then I'd regard those images as possibly real but this just seems to early.
A slimline would definetly reduce the price so I reckon PS3 sales would have a large jump but I'd only expect it to sell at 360 level or just above - Wii like sales seem unlikely as the Wii had captured the audience that the 360 and PS3 were never designed for.
