The hw rise was actually around 1mln, from 9 mln to 10,7 mln, more or less.

The comparison is between last year sales against this year and not installed base.
BTW, if you considered installed sw base, it would over 100% yoy for sw, actually, since the PS3 is only two years in market and sold in the second year 80% more sw than first year.
