I, for one, would be much more motivated to purchase a PS3 if it's slimmed down and cheaper. However, it'd need to get cheaper than $300 for me to move on it. I already have ten+ gaming consoles (and a number of handhelds), including the Wii, 360, and a PS2. I don't need another unless it's affordable, saves space, and it would be nice if it was backwards compatible so I could eliminate one of my current consoles.
