platinum hits don't have to hit ANY figure on xbox, kameo went platinum a long time ago and it's barely passed 500k to date. Platinum is basically the official discount label for good games that aren't selling anymore. It's why you don't see halo 3 at 30 bucks already and why games like kameo hit the point early on.
I mention platinum hits because if tecmo shipped over 800k of the original versions and now we see platinum hits, that would make me assume they sold through the initial shipment, yet vgcharts figures place it nowhere near a million.
Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.
