It's nothing new that america isn't the best country for engineers...

American cars for example haven't faired well compared to german or japanese cars for decades in most consumers organizations surveys...

Same with all electronics, with the exception of Apple. I mean American TVs for example fail compared to the Japanese or Korean ones
