Atari has been in dire straits for a while. Infogames paid $$$$ to get the name, and could care less about it, really.
The Atari that some of us grew up with - the 2600, 5200 - has long since went the way of the dodo. It's just a name, now, and Infogames has not made any stellar moves recently.
They were nearly at the point of death before - in this economy, even with recovery efforts, I think they are on the verge of going down for the last time, IMHO.
