sony wouldnt make a redesign for fans but for themselves. your looking at this from a consumer point of view which is blurring your head. why do you think sony shrunk the rsx and cell to 45nm already? something which has no significance to the consumer? like it or not but that had to be done by sony spending money on r&d. if they were willing to spend money there im sure they arent just going to stop there and cut fundings. which would mean sony already has it going and doesnt need to put more money than it already is.
