I'll cut straight to the interesting parts. Denise Kaigler has spoken again in another interview, and according to her, the moment core gamers are satisfied, players will become disinterested in the company. A few comments from the interview...

"I will give you that hardcore gamers have an insatiable appetite for everything Nintendo," she said, "and we love that! We love that. When we get to a point where core gamers say, "OK, Nintendo, enough! We don't need any more games from you guys...."

We don't want your appetite to ever be satisfied, because when we satisfy you, it's time for us to go [dusts off hands], "OK! Let's go on home now!" And none of us wants to go home. So there's this sort of fun...relationship, I think, that's happening between Nintendo and the hardcore gamer -- which we enjoy and hope that the core gamer enjoys it.

I highlight these parts of the interview because that's what Kotaku have gone and done, and things are getting pretty heated in the comments over there, with the usual douchebags droning on and on about how Nintendo have done this, and how they've destroyed that, and how such and such game isn't actually good, and how Wii owners have nothing to look forward to etc. etc.

Anyway, some pretty interesting stuff was discussed such as upcoming hardcore games (and the general subject), why third party titles dont sell, that weird rock climbing game, and even the iPhone, but Mrs. Kaigler didn't stay too long in that catagory :P

Here's the link to the full interview. It's worth reading. http://bitmob.com/index.php/mobfeed/The-Full-Interview-Nintendos-Denise-Kaigler.html

I'd have posted the entire interview here but its a bit too much of a hassle, and i am lazy.
