your first game title for 360 kills your whole argument.

Halo 3 has sold more then double anything on either lists. Halo my friend, is a shooter.
The three highest on that list are Halo, Gears1,Gears2. While on the PS3's list its MGS4(Tactical Action Game), Resistance FOM(Shooter), and MotorStorm(Racer)

You left out Call of Duty, especially 4 which was MP which shows a much higher demand for shooters on 360 rather then PS3.

Number of Games on 360 that have a shooter Element or Tie in with Halo, a very promininent shooter series on 360

Halo3, Gears1, Gears2, Crackdown, Ace Combat, Saints Row, Mass Effect, Perfect Dark, Halo Wars, Left4Dead.(10)

Number of those on PS3...
MGS4,Res1,Res2,Socom,Killzone2,Haze, TimeCrisis, Uncharted, Warhawk. (9)

Might as well throw Fallout 3, GTAIV, Saints Row 2 and Resident Evil 5 into both as well with your criteria...

yup, and they all work to the same effect....

360(14) PS3(13)

Can't argue with you...  More pointing out the fact that something like 80%+ of the major titles released this gen are shooters or "contain shooter elements".  Stands to reason that, all things being equal (and they damn near are), the system with the better overall attach rate will have a higher FPS attach rate.

Fact: a shit-ton of shooter-like games are released every year

Fact: the 360 has a larger install base and better software-to-hardware attach rate

Fact: the 360 has a better attach rate for shooter titles than the PS3

Fact: none of that means all that much, taking all the facts into consideration

Also: "Well year old ports never do very well. And surely Bioshock's poor sales on PS3 only go against what the TC is trying to prove."

Not arguing that, nor trying to defend the thread starter's point...  Just bringing up little ineguitties in the conversation.
