Released on November 10th, 2009, Modern Warfare 2 will have 7 weeks and 3 days of availability this year.
How much will it manage to sell within that time?
Here are sales numbers for earlier Call of Duty games:
Call of Duty: World at War sales in 2008 only: 3,870,000 units in the United States alone (7 weeks, 5 days of availability).
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare sales in 2007 only: between 3,984,000 and 4,097,000 units in the United States alone (8 weeks and 5 days of availability).
I think this game is now going to be hugely successful.
