The userbase of the PS3 is completely different from the PS2? And you base this off of...absolutely nothing? Why not actually provide evidence instead of just assuming we're all dumb enough to believe everything you say? Why would games like Ratchet and Tomb Raider sell as well as they do if the PS3 userbase was completely different from the PS2 one? Oh, right. There is no good reason for that, because what you're saying is just an assumption. I remember figures from a while back saying that the majority of the PS3 userbase were PS2 owners (which actually makes sense), but then again, I'd love to see what sources you have. People still talk about Gran Turismo. How do you think Prologue sold so well? People not talking about it? It's still a popular series, and even a series that hasn't seen a release in a while can be revived upon a whim. And how do you know there isn't a lot of hype for GT? There hasn't been much news for GT5 lately, so of course you're not going to hear about it. That doesn't mean that when it's released, nobody will buy it. And your point about hardcore gamers on the internet was pretty lame. Heck, I could say the same about Wii Fit. Not because it's true, but because it doesn't have to be true. Sony doesn't lose a lot of money on bundles. What does a disc cost to make, a couple dollars? I'm not an expert on the matter, but it's not much considering Sony's other losses. In fact, they just announced a new Ratchet bundle and another bundle for Infamous! Ha ha, could you be any more wrong?

Montana, Montana, Montana....
I thought you were better than this. It seems I cannot take you seriously anymore. LOL
About hype just go outside your home and look around. Wii Fit >>>>>>>> GT. And when I said they will lose money in bundling GT5 I didnt mean the disc cost but the amount of money they will lose in not selling GT5 at full price (duh!).
I won't waste anymore time trying to explain you why GT5 won't reach 10 million (unless of course if it is massively bundled) so I will copy/paste what I have said on that topic in a thread dedicated on that matter (you know? where you can talk about that topic as long as you want...) And you will also find all ''evidence'' you want in that :
The point is PS2 userbase reached 125 millions and contributed to the GT3 numbers. PS3 userbase is in a completely different league. You can't compare PS2 with PS3, it's like comparing games on the GC vs. the Wii.
GT5P did 3 millions because it was the only GT available on PS3 since its launch, plus it was heavily bundled in some regions.
GT is not as popular franchise as GTA and GTAIV (which is the PS3 best selling game BTW) is only at 5.58M.
PS2 userbase helped a lot GT3 and GT4 numbers. Even if by miracle PS3 userbase come close to reach 50 millions by 2013, GT5 won't reach 10 millions. Like I said before take a look at sales number of GC games vs. Wii games (so far).
Mario Kart Wii (so far) = 15.84M vs. Mario Kart Double Dash (GC) = 6.96M
Super Mario Galaxy (so far) = 8.11M vs. Super Mario Sunshine = 6.28M
Mario Party 8 (so far) = 6.53M vs. Mario Party 7 = 1.53M
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (so far) = 8.59M vs. Super Smash Bros. Melee = 7.08M
Even Animal Crossing did better than its GC version only 6 months after its release.
Now please if you want to pretend that userbase doesnt matter, I don't want to argue with you anymore.
There is no doubt GT5 will do better than GT5:P, maybe 1 or 2 millions more. I'm sorry if you have unrealistic expectations about it like so many other PS3 fanboys did with games like MGS4, Resistance 2, LBP,KZ2 and so on.
