MGS4 is mega popular so you can't quite compare it to usual trends. For example RE4 had more success on the PS2 while the Gamecube version was the original.
I don't think MGS4 on the 360 would top the PS3 version in sales but there is potential to sell 2+ million in my opinion. In the past I understand why they kept MGS exclusive to PS2, but Sony isn't the top dog anymore so they might as well collect money from the 360 audience as well.
