Well cool. If it turns out the lack of backward compatibility rumor is fake, then this makes the PS3 much more appealing to me, at least until I'm sure the 360 is failure free. If it's not backward compatible at all I of course wouldn't even consider it. I'm in a pretty small apartment without much free space, and I need to be able to play my PS2 games. For one thing I still play many of my PS2 games on a regular basis. I love replaying DQVIII. For another, I'm still buying a new PS2 game every couple months.
