Unfortunately my crystal ball is not working at optimal levels. The current facts do not concurr with the OP conclusion. That said last year was supposed to be the 360 peak as well so maybe the fat lady has not done all her singing just yet but I am thinking she is a bit croaky and in need of a glass of water.
I do believe Microsoft have more to give and it will be sufficient to continue and modestly increase sales. What I do not see yet is what will make it suddenly shift 6 times its current numbers month on month.
- Motion plus? Even if it were proved true I am not sure it would be enough.
- Improvements in IPTV especially round HD streaming? Silverlight 3 has shown us the possible future but no proof outside of what is already happening to say the xbox will become that elusive media hub.
- A Super Game? Even if the Xbox had Halo4, MGS5 and Mario Cart super wars do I see that making a big enough difference at this stage.
So, to recap not a chance in hell my friend.
