mztazmz said:UPDATE: FYI to those of you posting that PS3 is also selling at a loss. At launch, the PS3 was taking a $240 loss per console. Last December(2 years later) PS3 was selling at a $45 loss per console http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/4340.html.Today. at the current rate of reduced manufacturing costs, they are probably selling at break-even or maybe a little profit. Sorry to rain on your hate parade

two questions though.
1. In Sony's last quater earning call, Sony stated they are still selling at loss. There is still no evidence that PS3 is breaking even or selling with a profit at this moment. It's just your guess.
2. You are assuming every PS3 sold is a $399 SKU.
I guess we'll know more on May 14th.
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
