you guys arent even trying. how many times are people going to ask about guitar hero, eye of judgement, and ddr???

the point is to compare apples to apples

$10 wii play vs $60 Heavenly sword is not apples to apples

no one ever said it was free or that they were not making profits. just that its a controller sale and not a game sale. when 80% of price goes towards the controller.

and yeah the $5-$10 downloadable games should count, but they would go on a budget chart. you always compare apples to apples. anything else is silly and an invalid comparison.

Kas - that was the dumbest point yet. They other games you buy count because you are buying full priced GAMES and not controllers with a pack in.

Actually, it wasn't.  Since not everybody pays full price for games.  Even for full priced games... even new.  So you  have no clue how many of those games were actually bought at full price.  That's why people don't use definitions by yours.  Well by people i mean people who know stats.

Otherwise as stated you picked a month where Sony had many titles that dropped.  Why did you use this month and say not last?(other then the obvious bias)  I rarely call things dumb, but the only dumb point in this whole thread was well... the first one.

Try this for a month where neither system has like say.... 3 or so big releases, or November where they both are going to have big releases and I imagine you'll see a difference.  Since your not counting budget games though I imagine your cutting out a lot more of the Wii's sales too?  Like RE4?  That's also a budget game, comes at half price ya know.  I mean you can try and frame the numbers all you want to get the desired result but the fact is... sad as it may be for you, framing the stats doesn't actually change them.  You could cut out all Wii games since none of them retail for the same price as a PS3 game (aside from boogie).  That still wouldn't change the actual facts.

Sorry.
