Of course!

How could we forget to combine Sony sales to make for a fair comparison against the 360.

Just comparing current home console marketshares. Sony aimed at the highend market with the PS3 and at the lowend market with the Slimline PS2, the XBox 360 is positioned somewhere in between.

@ TWRoO

Nintendo has owned the handheld console market for well over a decade. Luckily Nintendo finally has some never before seen successful competition, not even in the Atari Lynx and Sega Game Gear days, which both failed miserably competing with the original Gameboy.

Sony is aiming for the same market as the 360, which is aiming for the same market the PS2 dominated. If the PS3 was aiming for a "highend" market, it would be more like the NeoGeo or 3DO, aka significantly more powerful than its competitors.
