When I read Mario Kart in combination with EXTREME I was hoping for an racing game with Mike Awesome, Taz, Sabu and Tommy Dreamer throwing chairs, trashcans and barbwire at each other...seems I was wrong 
The game itself looks like crap. Another poor ripoff like Diddy Kong Racing back then on the N64 (I hated this game sooo much...but I know I am alone with this opinion). But thanks to the names "Sims" and "EA" I fear this garbage will actually sell pretty well...
...damn you casual gamer!
