ok, dgm there is one major logical fallacy here with regards to wii sports.
If wii sports wasn't a pack in the US software sales, and attach rate would sky rocket. People don't buy the wii just to look on the internet on play "everybody votes". They buy it to play a game. If wii sports wasn't packed in, they would buy a different game. However since wii sports is packed in wii's attach rate and software sales apparently take a huge hit for no reason.
The only way wii sports as a pack in would be relevant is if we were figuring out how many copies wii sports has sold. But we're not, we're figuring out software sales.
Without wii sports people would 99.999999% of the time buy a different game, and that would be counted. So why isn't wii sports counted?
And you get on a slippery slope with wii play. You disregard anything that goes to a certain price. Apparently a cheap game is no longer a game.
