blu rays main problem is price, also blu ray is more evolutionary than revolutionary.. since DVD brought with it double the picture quality of standard VHS, extra features, 5.1 Dolby/DTS and also memory was VERY very expensive back then(1997). Since compression technology, the internet and memory prices are lower-digital has a greater chance of catching a significant portion of the HD pie. I think blu ray is cool but its also very very overpriced. I mean the PS3 is gonna hit its 3rd birthday later this year but disc prices have remained rather stagnant.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
