I thought the RSX chip was suppose to be 45 nm by now, maybe it is?

And the Cell is suppose to be shrunk to 45 nm in mid 2009, so maybe June or July.

RSX isn't 45nm yet, it didn't go 65nm until quite sometime after the Cell, so I don't expect that for a while.

No new SKU has been submitted to the FCC or their Japanese counterparts yet, and it normally takes a few months from that until it gets released onto the market, so I don't see 45nm Cell arriving in stores before August at the earliest. It may also get a staggered introduction, so some regions may have to wait longer than others.

Here's a very old article from December 2007, they say they were suppose to start production in March of 2009, I never heard any news about it since.

"Further along, Nikkei also reports that Toshiba plans to manufacture an even smaller 45 nm RSX graphics chips for the PS3. No details have been announced regarding this, although the report states that the electronics manufacturer will begin production by March 2009."
