This is why members of the GOP wanted a full investigation of Bush.
It does two things. It keeps it from being a witch hunt, as it forces investigators to find all parties involved (not just the ones people in power want you to know about), and it will also uncover how much useful information we obtained.
My guess is when they explained to Pelosi what was going on on 2002, they also explained it's effectiveness, and that's why she didn't have a problem with it.
