Blu Ray has been the market for 3 years now and it has come down in price but why not more. A standard blu ray player is around 200 but with how fast technology advances why are the blu ray components not much cheaper by now. How many revisions have we had with processors and hard drive sizes in the last three years now? How is it that it doesn't cost like 300 or less to make the ps3. These machines are being made in Asia it's not like they are made here in the us were have minimum and benefits to pay to employees. Does any know why it is not cheaper to build a video game system. Blu Ray is great but its not holograms walking in the living room its just bigger storage space for hd content. Please if anyone knows anything about why it is so expensive let us know. |
Blu Ray should've never entered the gaming world. It only existed because Blu Ray shareholders got Sony to use the PS3 system as a booster tool to manipulate its value in the market; The PS3's awaiting fanbase was used to house and boost the Blu Ray product into relevance. That way, if it sold a considerable amount, they could drop the price for the normal stand-alone models outside of the gaming industry. Technically the PS3 was intentionally sabotaged this gen for the survival of a product that people thought was irrelevant, not only because of price, but because it was just another DVD player with more space.
