I love the doom and gloom in this (and every PS3 thread it seems).
It's called cost of manufacturing. When you use stuff that's really new to the market, your bound to have high costs. Within a year you could refine that process greatly and reduce the cost to manufacture by quite a bit. Lowering the price on the PS3 may be driven by the sales, but I can almost guarantee they aren't losing much on the build.
It seems the mods need help with this forum. I have zero tolerance for trolling, platform criticism (Rule 4), and poster bad-mouthing (Rule 3.4) and you will be reported.
