Does it really matter?
I'm pretty sure all the 3 players in the console market don't go to their directors with aligned launch sales data to spin the numbers to make them look better so I don't know why people do it for them.
Also the only company truly delighted this generation is Nintendo, Microsoft will be kicking themselves for their reliability woes that without I think 2nd place would have been wrapped up by now. Sony will be devastated they misjudged the market so badly choosing to launch such an expensive console and the subsequent money they bled to keep it selling by cutting prices very early.
