I liked the graph, yes a bit simplistic but gets the point across.
I think you mentioned something that people neglect to take into account, and that is that while the MSRP for the Wii is $250 US, for the longest time it didn't sell at that price.
I remember my son asking for it on launch and I wasn't able to get one that wasn't bundled with at least two games, an extra controller and some other doodad (at retail) or online (ebay) for less than $450 US (if you were lucky).
Yet at the same time and for roughly the same price (sans bundling) you could get a PS3 just by walking into a brick and mortar store, or ordering online (no sold out warning, unlike the Wii)
I've had almost every console (no 3DO :P ) and honestly, I couldn't justify it to myself to spend $600 on a PS3; yes it does things... but I can live without them, it's a luxury.
IMO, Sony fumbled all the market share they had with the PS2 by trying to repeat what they did the previous generation (pushing DVD as the video format to be), to me my DVD collection still looks fine in my old TV, and I am in no hurry to buy a new flat screen just because everyone else says you must have it.
If it were that way, then the government wouldn't be sending out $50 coupons for people to buy digital tuner STBs for their old tube TVs.
PS3? As far as this old gamer is concerned, ask me again when it is selling for a reasonable price for a GAME console.
