I just told you, FFVII ACC was their ticket to charge for it. You do know that the demo was not sold seperately at all, but with that movie, right? I am positive some of the cost of the movie came from the demo. The same could be done with the american release(which isnt far off). Kitase just said it, in the OP, that they have already started the text and voice translations. The Demo is not even that long, And I am positive it is towards the beginning of the game. Shouldn't that part of the translation be done already? And in other threads many tryed to argue that it was an impossibility for the 360 release to be what stunted the Demo's release in america, now the story has changed to "its only one of many reasons". Not saying you were one of the people saying that, just putting it out there. I dont believe there was much else besides the 360(as said in the above paragraph). |
I understand that ACC was their ticket to charge for it. What I'm suggesting is that it would be foolish to do so in North America. They actually want to sell the movie itself, remember? ACC is available for pre-order at amazon.com for $22.99. The Japanese special edition costs 5900 yen. See the difference?
It's better for them to wait and do a demo later, closer to the game actually releasing. Maybe in the mean time they can figure out a better delivery method, as mentioned previously.
