He actually said that was "partly" why they weren't doing the demo at this time. There are other factors involved, no doubt. Again, what value is it for them to spend time working on a demo for a game so far from release when they're not likely to be able to charge for it? Why not wait and do it later (if at all), when it's more relevant and there may be another software title to pair it with (as with DQVIII)? |
I just told you, FFVII ACC was their ticket to charge for it. You do know that the demo was not sold seperately at all, but with that movie, right? I am positive some of the cost of the movie came from the demo. The same could be done with the american release(which isnt far off). Kitase just said it, in the OP, that they have already started the text and voice translations. The Demo is not even that long, And I am positive it is towards the beginning of the game. Shouldn't that part of the translation be done already?
And in other threads many tryed to argue that it was an impossibility for the 360 release to be what stunted the Demo's release in america, now the story has changed to "its only one of many reasons". Not saying you were one of the people saying that, just putting it out there. I dont believe there was much else besides the 360(as said in the above paragraph).
