I have only briefly, however Uncharted and Gears 2 still felt much more comfortable to me to be honest. Sometimes I just don't think motion control is necessary. While it doesn't hinder the experience in RE4 I just don't think it improves it either.

While I personally disagree and found that the Wii controls significantly improved the gameplay, If you hold this opinion than what do you have to fear? It should also be noted that RE4:WE has an option to use a gamecube pad as well and several other games have the option for you to use either a gamecube or classic controller. You can point out examples of genres that dual analogue is not suited well to or point out specific games that implemented them poorly but no-one ever seems to blame the controll style it'self and instead they (rightfully) blame those who developed game. However whenever a Wii game which has motion controlls poorly implemented most people seem to cite this as a fault of the controll style it'self rather than blame those who actually made the game.
