You sound like a poster boy for a stereotypical annoying straight edge person. You don't want to talk to or be around drunk people? You have to be an idiot to smoke pot? Lighten up.

If someone is not in complete control of themselves then I don't want to talk to them. If they don't have the respect to drink within their limits then why the hell should I waste my time with them?

 

People who take your point of view are annoying because they feel a sense of moral superiority over those who choose to drink and smoke pot. You can't just make the decision to not smoke or drink and be confident in your reasons for doing so, you have to berate those who have conflicting views.

I have no problem talking to drunk people when I'm sober, as it makes for some hilarious conversations. Maybe you need to find a more pleasant group of friends.
