| Kwaad said: First off. My links work. just remove the %A0 at the end of the URL. second. You could buy a GameCube for 130$ Add my 40$ of parts, and then spend 70$ to put a wiimote/nunchuck on it. (hey, this is all retail prices) I'm still lower than 250$ How does that make 250$ a good value. I'm not saying the PS3 isnt too expensive for the mass market. However in 2 years it wont be. In 2 years it will produce the most beautiful graphics, and it will cost 300-400$.RIght around the 299 price point you mention. When I bash the Wii in price. I think 250$ is a ripoff. 200$ is for nintendo to make some profit. 150$ for them to break even, and 100$ to sell at a loss like microsoft/sony do on launch. The PS3 really only costs about 500$ to produce. I would say in 1 year it will drop down to about 300, and in 2 years about 200. Giveing in 2 years most likely a near 300$ PS3. And then they might re-release the 20gb PS3 for like 250$ The PS3 is too expensive at 600$ (not that it isnt a good value, just overall too expensive) EDIT: Do not fill that out and do that. It is a scam. They dont display information on their stuff anymore obviously. So do NOT fill that out and get a computer from them. They sell a ~400$ computer for ~2000$. |
$130+$40+$70=$240. How is $10 more a bad value? And you are ignoring the fact that the Wii has more advanced processing, enough to justify extra money to make it compared to the GC right now.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
